New Music: Baysiqly – “The Flu”

What they do, fellow Vagabonds? E.R. here, taking over posting duties while the big homie Jay Fingers (who normally handles this and is much better at it) is getting his 4th of July/BBQ/Drinking on.
Okay, let’s cut to the chase: my rhyme partner Baysiqly has followed up my recent “MY-Ami” track with “The Flu,” an ill freestyle session over both Jeremih‘s “Down On Me” and Lil Wayne x Rick Ross‘ “John.”

E.R. has decided to take a couple of minutes to lay down a little solo joint to get your mind off the Miami Heat’s loss in the recent finals. Although he’s never been the arrogant type, he believes Miami’s rap scene is ready to be taken over by Baysiqly and himself, hence his spelling of his hometown for this track.
Spreading Love: The Dysfunct – The Love Boat EP
What up Vagabonds, E.R. here to put y’all up on game. To set this off, like most of you, I’m accustomed to hearing Garcia over some hard hitting gritty drums and dope samples. So when the big homie DJ EFN told me last August me that Garcia was working on some things with his cousin, Adrianne Gonzales (of The Rescues), I was definitely interested in hearing how that mash up of styles would work.
The project (brought to you courtesy of DJBooth.net, shout out to the big homie Z), starts right away, no skits, no filler, leading right into “Blind”. Over some sypmhonic styled production courtesy of BetaControl, this is a nice laid back start to THE LOVE BOAT, and with the song format, it’s definitely a fitting intro. The next track, “Fire” produced by the homie Haz who I met at The Rising in January, is just that. Continuing with the uptempo symphonic sound of “Blind”, “Fire” is a solid track, featuring a tight verse from Garcia and tight vocals from Addriane. “I Hate Music” is up next, with a tight rock influenced beat from BetaControl again, going over a theme I can definitely relate to.
“Dr HeartBreak” follows up next, and as of right now it’s my favorite track on the album. Nick Fury definitely killed the production, and with the dub step influence, backwards vocals, and personal lyrics, it would sounds like it belongs on a Vagabonds project. The homie Plex from ¡Mayday! provides the production on the last three tracks, and it definitely shows, with production that sounds like it’d fit perfectly on a ¡Maday! album.“Throw It All Away” is definitely something I can relate to, coming from the environment I was raised in, and it’s probably my second favorite track. The project ends strongly with “Get My Something” and “I Don’t Know You”, both laid back joints with perfect performances from Garcia, Addriene, and Plex (who does his thing when the beats open up on these tracks). All around, tight work, definitely a must-download, and a good return for Garcia. This project will definitely hold y’all over ’til his next joint drops, which I don’t know if he wants me to spill the beats on just yet, haha.
Just in case you ain’t heard, be sure to hear what he does when he enters our world, on “The Top”, off our latest project, GOOD NEIGHBORS: http://becoolent.com/vmg/2011/01/vagabonds-good-neighbors-available-for-free-download/

Poll: What’s Your Favorite Song on Good Neighbors?

The Vagabonds’ much anticipated mixtape Good Neighbors dropped at the beginning of the year and is already being touted as one of 2011′s hottest releases. The duo of Baysiqly and E.R. is quickly making a name for itself with no signs of slowing down.
Featuring collaborations with renowned artists like Dynas, Garcia, GhostWridah, Dashius Clay, LMS, Protoman, and more, Good Neighbors aims to not only showcase South Florida’s considerable talent but to also prove that these artists can come together to create great music.
VMG wants to know: What’s your favorite song on Good Neighbors? Let us know below.
Spreading Love: Dashius Clay x Justin Credible – BLUE DREAM
What’s up world, E.R. of the Vagabonds here, hope you are all enjoying your MLK day, not only because we’re all off from work, but because of what his accomplishments did for us all (this website wouldn’t exist, for example!).
As GOOD NEIGHBORS (http://becoolent.com/vmg/2011/01/vagabonds-good-neighbors-available-for-free-download/)continues to get rave reviews and absolute positive feedback (it’s reached over 2,000 different ears since it’s release date), we figured we’d show some love back to one of our homies in the Miami music scene, who blessed us with an extremely dope verse on a fan favorite off the album, titled the “The Band”.
Dashius Clay has always been a fan of ours and reached out to us from our very humble beginnings in the winter of 2009, and has always been on his grind under his 1 Life Entertainment imprint. He has recently hooked up with Miami-based producer Justin Credible, who I met last summer while making an appearance in one of my homie’s BBK’s (http://fnezrecords.com/) video shoots, to release their new collaboration EP, BLUE DREAM.
Short and to the point, this eight track EP shows a different side of Dashius Clay I haven’t head too often, laid back and thought provoking. I’m used to hearing the homie being hype and witty (which he still is on this joint), but I’m definitely not complaining. I can play this joint front to back without skipping a track, with my personal favorite track being “Friday, Saturday”, which sounds like plenty of my weekends. I’m for one personally insulted that I wasn’t asked to be on this joint because my South Beach weekend tweets are very well documented (just joking!!! haha). Enough talking, peep this joint, definitely one of my favorite artists doing it! Get this free download at his site, www.dashiusclay.com, cover art and track listing below!

Vagabonds Music Group is proud to present Good Neighbors, the highly anticipated new album from South Florida hip-hop duo the Vagabonds.
The group, consisting of MC’s Baysiqly and E.R., follows in the tradition of legendary hip-hop duos with a focus on making classic music. They approach their craft with a philosophy that enables them to combine socially relevant lyrics with lush, elaborate production. Their previous project was 2010′s V For Vendetta, which struck a chord with music lovers the world over, netting 20,000 downloads based solely on word-of-mouth in along with their internet-only singles, Space Music, Success, and Work It Out.
Their new project, Good Neighbors, is a collaboration album featuring many of Miami’s rising hip-hop stars. The 15-track album features appearances by Ryan K, Dynas, Alex Walker, Len Xiang, Kobie Powell (of US3/Cantaloop fame), Protoman, Dashius Clay, Saheed, Garcia, LMS, The MC Faceman, Jay Fingers and GhostWridah. The majority of Good Neighbors was produced by E.R., with assists from Miami Beat Wave and High Guyz Productions.
The album’s concept was inspired by Baysiqly’s solo track — also titled Good Neighbors — found on V For Vendetta. The song finds itself on the Good Neighbors album as a remix featuring E.R. Also included is their recent hit single Here We Go featuring Dynas.
Many Miami-based artists sat in on the recording of Good Neighbors, even on tracks they weren’t involved in. Those who lended support to the project include AG Lyonz, Bern Biz of ¡Mayday!, and Garcia, among others. And although Good Neighbors is a Miami collaboration project, a few out-of-town features snuck into the mix. Gotta Lose features Brooklyn musicians Alex Walker and Len Xiang, and London’s Kobie Powell of Us3 (Cantaloop) fame, and New York hip-hop mainstay The MC Faceman delivers a high energy cameo on Still Piff With It.

New Music: The Vagabonds x Dynas — “Here We Go”

[display_podcast]
Since the release of their debut mixtape V For Vendetta earlier this year, The Vagabonds have made quite a name for themselves, working with a variety of artists, performing a few live shows, and steadily making their mark in the game. Baysiqly and E.R. have accomplished so much and earned such an unprecedented amount of respect in such a short time that their upcoming release, Good Neighbors, features collaborations with renowned artists like Ghostwridah, Alex Walker, Protoman, LMS, and The MC Faceman, just to name a few.
For hip-hop fans, “Here We Go” is the perfect (re)introduction to The Vagabonds. Veteran Miami MC Dynas, who’s worked with everyone from Slick Rick to Dilla, joins Baysiqly and E.R. in asserting their lyrical dominance over original boardwork by Miami Beat Wave. Featuring an ill, old school drum loop and distorted guitar riffs by Chip Williams, “Here We Go” is the prototype for what could be considered Southern fried boom-bap.
New Music: The Vagabonds featuring Rolls Royce — “The Real Dade County”

[display_podcast]
Vocalist Rolls Royce adds lush, hypnotic vocals to Baysiqly and E.R.‘s soulful ode to everything that’s beautiful about Dade County over Rick Ross‘s “Super High” instrumental.
New Music: The Vagabonds x Protoman “Save The Game”

They’re on that superhero sh*t.
With great power comes great responsibility, so The Vagabonds are doing the responsible thing and linking up with other lyrical marvels in a new collaboration series in which they’ll be working with artists all across South Florida. They’re kicking things off with “Save the Game,” a new track featuring previous collaborator Protoman.
The Vagabonds’ collaboration series aims to release new songs bi-weekly. Follow the link below to download the first hit.
